About Us

Let's Shake Paws

Hello, I'm Haley! Thank you for your interest in having your dog join the South Hound pack. When my husband and I first met (while working at a doggy daycare) in 2008, we knew our underlying bond would always be centrally focused on animals and what makes them happy. In 2014 we launched what grew to be Whatcom County's largest pet services company The Puget Hound, offering everything from individual dog walks, to woodland off-leash hikes, to overnight pet sitting, to launching Bellingham's first ever cage-free overnight boarding and daycare facility before selling the business in 2019 to move across the country.

Now that we're back in Washington and loving Thurston County, we're so excited to be able to offer our professional, positive reinforcement only, and personalized dog-adventure services to pet owners in the Olympia, Lacey, and Tumwater area! There's truly nothing like experiencing of the outdoors in the Pacific Northwest while also enriching the lives of animals, and we're grateful to share it with your dog.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: We are currently booked to capacity and unable to take new clients, but if you'd like to learn about our waitlist/standby list, please feel free to send us an email.
